Next, you will be taken to the magnificent Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque. Then, you will visit the India Gate war memorial and Qutub Minar, the tallest minaret in India, 240.35 feet tall, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In the afternoon, explore the bustling Chandni Chowk market, the serene Lotus Temple, and Humayun’s Tomb. Your day will be culminated by a drive past the official residence of the President of India.

Back to your hotel for a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay.

After an appetizing breakfast, you would head out towards Agra, the city of love. Common Questions

Golden Triangle Tour — FAQ

Everything you need to know before booking this tour.

It comes down to three things: your hotel tier, how many of you are traveling, and the time of year. Hotels move the figure most, and the per-person cost drops sharply once there are more than four of you. Every quote covers the private vehicle for all eight days, licensed guides in each city, all monument entrance fees, daily breakfast and airport transfers. Send us your dates and you'll have a full itinerary with hotels named and a firm price within 24 hours, with no deposit and no obligation.

Eight is the comfortable minimum. Six days covers the Golden Triangle on its own. Udaipur needs one day to drive and one full day to explore. Seven-day versions exist, but they either cut Fatehpur Sikri or leave you a single rushed afternoon in Udaipur.

Yes. The tour begins in Delhi and ends in Udaipur. We meet you at Indira Gandhi International Airport when you land. If you'd rather finish back in Delhi, we'll add the Udaipur to Delhi flight or the return drive to your itinerary.

October through March. Daytime temperatures sit around 70 to 80°F (21 to 27°C), and November to February is the most comfortable stretch. April and May hit 105°F (40°C), which makes full days of sightseeing hard work. July to September is monsoon, so Delhi and Agra are hot and humid, but Udaipur's lakes fill up and the Aravalli hills turn green, which makes it the prettiest time to see that city and the rates drop noticeably.

Yes, it closes every Friday for prayers. We build every itinerary around that, so you'll never lose your Taj visit to a closure. Everything else on this tour is open daily.

Yes. Travelers from the USA, UK and most of Europe can apply for an India e-Visa online, and approval usually comes through in three to five business days. Apply at least two weeks before you fly. We send a checklist once you book.

About 250 miles (400 km), or roughly seven hours direct on NH48. We break it at Chittorgarh Fort, the largest fort in India and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which turns the longest driving day of the trip into one of its better ones.

For most travelers, yes. The Golden Triangle is three cities of forts and Mughal monuments. Udaipur is lakes, palaces and a much slower pace, which makes it a natural place to end. It's also where the Lake Palace from Octopussy sits, and it's India's most popular honeymoon destination. If your trip is already six days or more, Udaipur costs you two extra days and changes the character of the whole thing.

Private, every departure. You travel with your own party only, in your own air-conditioned vehicle, with your own driver. No fixed departure dates, no strangers, and no forced shopping stops.

You pick. We run three tiers: 3-star Comfort, 4-star Heritage and 5-star Luxury. In Rajasthan the heritage tier is usually the best value, because a lot of those properties are converted havelis and small palaces. We send you the actual hotel names before you pay, not "or similar."

All of it. The usual requests: adding Ranthambore for a tiger safari, fitting Jodhpur or Pushkar in between Jaipur and Udaipur, swapping the Chittorgarh stop for a shorter drive day, or extending to Golden Triangle with Varanasi or Goa. Tell us how many days you have and we'll build the route around that.
